Why Join FQK?

Phi Theta Kappa
is the oldest, largest, and most respected honor society serving two-year colleges around the world. We are dedicated to promoting scholarship and continued learning.

More than 75,000 students are inducted into Phi Theta Kappa annually!   Membership in the Society is an enlightening experience that is an excellent addition to your scholastic resume.  A very nice benefit is a letter of reference by Chapter Advisors for active members.  Besides providing leadership opportunities through serving as a Chapter, Regional and/or International Officer, the scholarships available to transfer institutions are great ways to minimize educational loans. Go to our international web site: www.ptk.org to view the many colleges listed.

To join our chapter you must:
  • Have a 3.5 GPA
  • Have 12 credits (transfer credits do not count)
  • Maintain a 3.2 GPA after joining

There is a one-time joining fee:
  • $60.00 within your first 12 terms
  • $70 between terms 12 and 16
  • $80 after term 16
